"Agnes" is a solid moorit polled. She is a huge ewe as large in stature as Ezra. Her wool was the softest of the large flock that we aquired her from. Agnes is a very "milky" ewe. Her udder at freshening looks like one of my dairy goats. Agnes had no trouble at all raising her triplets last year, even though they weighed a whopping total of 23lbs at birth. Agnes loves attention and will stand to be petted as long as someone will oblige. Stopping will get you a polite bump from a foreleg. Agnes shows good natural worm resistance.

"Yaffa" was our first lamb born here on the farm to Agnes and is sired by Ezra.
She was a large single weighing 12lbs at birth and is chocolate moorit spotted horned. She is a large framed ewe, very wide and solid like her sire and has an incredible fleece of excellent texture. This ewe had an amazing rate of growth and was well over 100lbs at 4 months of age. She has now surpassed Agnes in height and overall size and is our largest sheep.
"Yaffa" is Hebrew for "Beautiful" and we think she really is! She is super friendly like her mom and loves to be petted and is showing very good worm resistance.

"Lamb Chop" is a ewe we purchased from Magi's Wood Farm in Virginia. I think her expression is just like the puppet "Lamb Chop" that was on Sat. morning TV when I was a kid. This ewe is polled & pure white with an incredible fleece and probably the best meat characteristics of any of our ewes. Lamb Chop is very wide and stocky framed. After shearing I think she looks like a plump little Charolais heifer. She was a single from a ewe lamb.
I have only chemically wormed this ewe once, and that was before I began Famancha. Lambing record: 0,0,1

"Bindi Sue" is a polled ewe we purchased from Magi's Wood Farm and she's my favorite. Although her registration code indicates she is a solid moorit spotted, Bindi is actually a gray spotted black mouflon. As a lamb Bindi did look like a moorit as her lamb wool faded to light brown. We bought her before her first shearing and when sheared her mouflon pattern showed up around her tail head as did her black thel. This ewe is from leadership lines and has a long med-wide and solid frame. Bindi has shown excellent worm resistance. She is a triplet and her dam has the amazing lambing record of 2,2,2,2,3,3,2. Bindi started out a small lamb being a triplet, but grew very fast and almost caught up with Yaffa in size! When Bindi arrived she was as wild as a little rabbit, but has shown exceptional intelligence and has an inquisitive nature and is now the first to run to me to be petted! Her being so brave and smart is why I've named her after Steve Irwin's daughter...

"Talia" has aquired the nick name of "mini-me" here on the farm as she is such a duplicate of her mom Agnes. Talia is a triplet, weighed 6.5 lbs at birth and has the exceptional fleece quality of her sire. I consider Talia's fleece the best of my flock.

"Stefania" is the twin sister of Joseph. She is a solid black with very wide growing horns. She has a very good build and almost certainly carries spotting as she has the "kissed by God" flashing spot on the top of her head. Her fleece did fade a bit this summer, but it gives her a wonderful dark sepia color. Stefania is bred to Uther for 2009.

"Truffel" is the twin sister of Shamrock. She only weighed 3.5 lbs at birth and required a few bottle feedings those first few days. It turned her into quite the character! She doesn't know sheep don't rear up on people like goats often do, and at 100lbs now, it's not so funny anymore!

"Shamrock" is Truffel's twin. They were born on St. Patrick's day, hence her name... Shamey is a beautiful solid black big "beefy" ewe like her mother with heavy wide growing horns that turn out slightly at the tips. She has a thick soft long fleece. She weighed 7 lbs at birth and has been a fast growing lamb.

"Bee Charmer" (on right) is a twin yearling spotted moorit ewe that has beautiful spotting and Bindi's outgoing intelligence. Her curious nature got her in trouble though as she tried to get into our garden by pushing under the fence, caught her right horn and pulled it off. After a scarey few hours in which I was sure she would bleed to death, all is now ok and the horn is actually growing fine, just shorter than her left one. Bee was not exposed to a ram for this year.

"Bella" (on left) is a beautiful moorit spotted ewe with very wide striped horns. Bella was born pretty late in the year and she is a fairly small ewe. We did not expose Bella to a ram this fall. Bella is a character and demands attention. As soon as she sees anybody in the pasture she comes running to get a little petting.
