Lambing hasn't exactly gone according to plan this year... We believe the draught has had an effect on our ewes in that we are having singles in ewes that twinned or even had triplets last year. Also, Joseph, the Jr. ram we used didn't "get the job done" and both ewes ended up being bred by Ezra as "clean up". They were both Ezra daughters, so their lambs will not be offered for sale.
So far we have the following:
A huge badgerface ram lamb to Yaffa: will not be for sale as a breeding ram.
A moorit polled ram and a moorit spotted horned ewe to Bindi: the ram is awesome and will be for sale. We will make a decision after lambing is complete as to whether this ewe lamb will be for sale. She looks to be the really strikingly marked spotted ewe I have been hoping for to take to shows...
A moorit horned ram with flashing to Agnes: we do not feel this ram is breeding quality. He will be for sale to a spinner's flock or will be a "locker lamb".
Still to go:
Talia: A good udder showing, looks to be due soon and may be carrying twins. Her lambs will not be for sale as breeding stock as she was bred by Ezra.
Shamrock: looks to be due in a couple weeks. Her lamb(s) will be for sale
Lamb Chop: this ewe's belly looks to be about to explode, but she has no udder showing yet... I am concerned.
Stefania: no udder showing yet. I do not know if this ewe was bred.
Truffel: no udder showing yet. We held off on this ewe till very late in the season due to her size. She may not be bred.
